Is Linux Needed or Can be followed using Windows too?

Some people have attempted the course in Windows however if you choose to do so and you run into problems I would be unable to assist you. Linux is designed for programming these types of things. Windows is designed for end users.

I recommend installing Linux/Ubuntu on a virtual machine and follow the course on the virtual machine. Ubuntu/Linux is free and takes 30 minutes or less to install
