Hello, every computer is different and some modern machines cannot even boot this bootloader as its legacy, in part two course we create UEFI bootloader which is more easily bootable on modern machines.

Hey Dennis,
It may seem easier at first glance but I think its important to seperate assembly code from C, this is a design pattern that I like to follow. I recommend waiting until you finish the course before making your own changes because it can be hard for me to assist if things go wrong if the code base is different.

Hey Denis, yes this is to be released in the part two video course which will be ready very soon, In part two you build a long mode kernel that has full GUI window support, currently in process of making a userland GUI SDK its nearly ready this course, I might release the first module of it earlier I haven't decided yet

Hello, This is kernel development so not all the code you write is going to work on every piece of hardware, thats why modern operating systems have thousands of different drivers. To maximize your potential of running the kernel on a real computer I suggest picking up an older machine from early 2000s one that still uses the ATA drives and one that does not have  UEFI firmware. Also ensure your kernel is written to the primary hard drive.

In the part two course which im currently developing we extend PeachOS to work with UEFI and more modern hardware, I'm doing the best I can to make PeachOS compatabile with newer machines, so stay tuned to the newsletters for more information on that when its released in about 6-10 months
